So, you’ve made up your mind, you don’t want to be broke anymore and step into the world of internet marketing and earn money blogging.
There are many different ways to generate income online. My advice is, if you want to build a more reliable source of income, you should implement as many methods as you can manage.
Now, every method includes getting a solid traffic, that will engage with your content. More engagement means you’ve created content that’s better tailored to your visitors and for that, you will get more exposure.
And why is targeted traffic so important?
Simply put, money is where the people are.
Why would you want to target specific people with your content?
Reason is, that more people that will actually be interested into what you have to say, higher conversion rate you’ll have.
It’s important that you create content specifically tailored for your audience. Especially when you’re first starting out with your blog when the number of visitors to your site is still quite low.
But don’t let that discourage you, every successful blogger out there was once a beginner starting from 0.every successful blogger out there was once a beginner starting from 0 Click To Tweet
What will you need to earn money blogging?
We mentioned before that targeted traffic is one of the most important building block for our money generation machine. But it isn’t the only super important part of it. We will need a few other things to make this work.
Here are the building blocks we will need
- Targeted traffic
- Landing pages/blog posts
- Product of value/affiliate links
So, here it is… seems simple enough. Let’s dive into more details for each point.
One of the fundamentals of web marketing is generating traffic
If you’re not sure yet, what you should write about or create content about in general, don’t worry I got your back.
You can succeed with blogging literally in any niche. So, it really doesn’t matter what topic you choose for your blog.
What’s important is that you keep writing posts that relate to that topic. This way, you will start gaining on visitors that are generally interested about that topic.
Okay, let’s say you’ve chosen your niche and you want to start writing about it. For first few posts, it’s okay if you just write about what interests you the most about your niche, to get the ball rolling.
Plan your content creation process
After a few posts, you’ll get a hold on how things should flow during your working process. You’ll need to gradually take steps to strategically plan your content.

Anything is better than no posting. But when you get serious about it, you will want to optimize the amount of effort you put in each post for how much engagement will it get.
One way to do this, is to plan and research what you’re about to write next. What people search for in search engines, how much competition is there for those search terms and how many people are searching for it.
Keywords are still the biggest factor for SEO
You can get this info using Keyword Planner, which will also suggest you other keywords that are relevant to those you’ve put into the search bar. Keyword research should be on the top of the list of main priorities for creating your content.
So, when you get to know what your visitors actually like, you can improve their experience by providing content specifically tailored for them. This process improves your SEO, which also improves the visibility of your blog on search engines like Google, Bing, etc…
Generate traffic using social media
We’ve mentioned that creating content the right way can have a big impact on its engagement. But this doesn’t mean you should only choose to optimize for SEO to get people to visit your blog.
You have so many social media channels at your disposal and it would be a shame not to use it for sending more traffic to your blog.
Social media channels like Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and others allow you to create as much content as you’d like and post it for free on their servers.
If you feel overwhelmed by the number of different channels out there, it’s perfectly fine to choose just the ones you’re comfortable with.
Facebook, for example, is one of the biggest social media networks in the world, and in my opinion, having a page for your business there is a must.
Every person who wants to earn money blogging should have an email list
Email lists are one of the oldest ways internet marketers used to stay in touch with their customers and prospects.
Email lists are just what the name implies, lists with peoples emails and other information, like their names.
You can use these emails to directly send personalized emails to these people. It’s still the best way to send out messages to your followers.
For example, if you post something on social media, there’s a high chance that most of people who are subscribed to you will miss it. Posts there will get buried under all new streaming media that comes from other sources, pages and people.
While email stays in their inboxes until they are read.
Create a lot of content
We’ve covered a few ways for sending people to your blog. Now we’re going to focus on what all those people will be visiting.
We’ve mentioned what goes into creating content the right way. I can’t stress enough that creating quality content should be your primary goal when creating a blog post.
If you want to gain on loyal followers, you should publish blog posts consistently. They will be able to expect when you’re going to put something new on your blog, if you have a schedule.
Earn money blogging with affiliate links
This is the tipping point from where you’re just a blogger and someone who earns money with blogging.
You can make money with affiliate links, which in my opinion, should use anyone who’s just starting out.
Affiliate links are basically links that point to a product from another company. You can get these links on affiliate networks, which create links unique to you. It’s a way to track from which publisher came each sale.
And everytime someone buys that product via your link, you will get a commission.
I hope this post has shed some light on where you can start your journey and start earning money with blogging.
If you liked what you read, I’d appreciate it very much if you shared this post with your friends and give a chance to others to join in on this great opportunity.
